Michael and Richard each have many years experience of assessing, sourcing and purchasing stock of all ages. As Irish agent for Brightwells Michael has in recent years helped bring many successful point-to-pointers to the attention of UK buyers, including such National Hunt stars as Lord Windermere, On His Own, Road To Riches, God’s Own, Holywell, Cheltenien, Copper Bleu and Horner Woods.
Richard has long been a successful purchaser of foals and yearlings. Included amongst the animals that he has purchased are Looks Like Trouble, War of Attrition, Remittance Man and Fingal Bay. As well as acting for himself in many young stock acquisitions, Richard has partnered Ballincurrig clients in the purchase and development of several promising NH animals.
It gives us great pleasure when our clients enjoy success with animals that we have helped them to choose, raise and sell, such as a gelding bought for 66,000 euros by our client Len Walker as a foal and sold by him for 250,000 euros 30 months later. He wasn’t just a successful purchase for Len, either, for named Captain Chris he won the Arkle Chase at Cheltenham and two other Grade 1 events, achieving a rare result for a top-priced store of winning more prize money than he cost!
